Duncan Gifford
The Australian pianist Duncan Gifford is one of the most relevant pianists of his generation, obtaining his greatest international success in 1998 with the First Grand Prize at the prestigious International Competition "José Iturbi" in Spain, and in 2000 with the "Grand Prix Maria Callas" in Athens.
Gifford began his studies in Sydney, Australia, and later entered the Moscow State Conservatory "Tchaikovsky", where he studied with Professor Lev Vlasenko. Since 1997 Gifford has lived in Madrid, where he has taken advanced courses under the direction of pianist Joaquín Soriano.
