Ema Alexeeva

Born in Sofia into a family of musicians, she began her violin studies at an early age. At the age of seven he played his first concert and at the age of twelve he made his first concert tour in Zimbabwe. He performed as a soloist in notable halls such as the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, Palau de la Música Catalana and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam under the baton of maestros such as Fuat Manzurov, Zsolt Nagy, Fabian Panisello, Alexey Izmirliev, Johannes Kalizke and Hansjörg Schellenberger, as well as giving recitals in important halls in Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, the United States, Israel, China, Korea, France, Holland, Argentina and Spain.

After graduating from high school in Sofia, she studied with the legendary professor Zakhar Bron at the Escuela Superior de Música “Reina Sofía” in Madrid, where she was twice awarded the prize for the most outstanding student in the violin department.

During his training period he participated in numerous master classes with masters such as Tibor Varga, Rony Rogoff, Pertu Munteanu, Alberto Lysy, Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern, Mauricio Fuks, Olivier Charlier and performed as soloist and concertmaster with masters Zubin Mehta and Lorin Maazel.

She won the first prize in the Andújar International Competition, as well as in the Svetoslav Obretenov and Kloster Schöntal competitions.

Ema Alexeeva shows special interest in contemporary music and is currently concertmaster of the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and violin soloist of Pluralensemble, with whom she has performed numerous premieres of works for violin.

He has made numerous recordings for Bulgarian, Spanish, Polish, French and German Radio and Television and has recorded for the Col Legno, NEOS, Columna Musica and Verso labels.
